In 1982, Marcelino da Rosa and Maria de Fátima Fernandes established a family company devoted to the manufacture of shirts. At that time, the production was just electing the National Market.
In 1986, the commitment with quality and innovation leads Giliana to an innovative manufacture process - the garments were constructed from raw fabric and were subsequently dyed. This step enabled Giliana to stand out from the National competitors and, spreading over the market, it started exporting almost 90% of its production, mainly to Europe. It now produces exclusively for the international market - U.S.A., Europe and African Countries.
The headquarters, with a total area of 8500 m2, are located at Guimarães city. There is another production unit with 4600 m2, in ViIa Verde (15 km from Braga) and it is only dedicated to the production process. Giliana relies on the contribution of 190 workers.
In 2001, the company changed its articles of incorporation and it became an anonymous society and at the same time increased the capital stock to 1.000.000,00.
The quality of Giliana’s products is distinct. When buying a product made by Giliana, the customer gathers the heritage of 28 years of experience.
Indeed, Giliana keeps surpassing customer's expectations on the manufacture of its products.
